On the 21st of July Celebrity cruises launched our 4th ship in the Celebrity Solstice Class series - Celebrity Silhouette. Along for the event we invited trade partners, media and others whom we felt would benefit from learning more about this spectacular product. 48 persons in total participated from Norway, and from Nordics we totalled 150 persons.

The event lasted for two nights, and we did what is called a "cruise to nowhere". The atmosphere was great, and everybody had a really good time. Our guest could enjoy such inventive facilities as the iLounge! ( a joint venture with Apple!), the beautilful lawn Club with the The Lawn Club Grille, and the Qsine Restaurant where you get an Ipad! as your menu.

Turn Around Calls in Oslo

For the 5th season since 2007 Royal Caribbean did turnarounds out of Oslo. This is the third season for Vision of the Seas, and the exciting itiniairies that we offer are getting increasingly popular. The Norwegians really got a taste for cruising, and what better than to cruise out of your own back yard? This year we also saw an increase in international guest, which of course would benefit the toursist industry in the Oslo area even more. We believe our cruise business out of Oslo will continue to grow, and who knows, in the future, we might even see one of our bigger ships turning here.
