Celebrity to stream Silhouette naming live on Facebook
For the first time, Celebrity Cruises will be streaming a naming ceremony live on Facebook when Celebrity Silhouette is christened in Hamburg. The event is at 5 p.m. local time/11 a.m. ET on Thursday.
Viewers can access the ceremony at https://www.facebook.com/celebritycruises?sk=app_142371818162, or at Facebook.com/CelebrityCruises (click on the ‘Livestream’ link on the left side of the site).
The experience will be interactive for online viewers who can post comments to each other throughout the naming. The ceremony will also be broadcast across the Celebrity fleet so passengers on board the other nine ships can partake. An archived version of the event will be available after the ceremony.
