P&O Cruises World Cruising is offering passengers more opportunity than ever to explore popular Northern Europe in its 2012-13 European program, which features 13 new ports of call.
The Europe program will see P&O Cruises’ seven ships sailing 153 cruises to 250 different destinations, including new ports of call such as Brindisi and Ancona on Italy’s eastern coast, Durres in Albania and Kalmar in Sweden.

In response to passenger demand, the cruise line is also offering more Northern European cruises on Aurora and Oriana. Itineraries include a seven-night voyage onboard Aurora departing Southampton on August 24, 2012 and visiting Spain, Portugal and France, with fares from $1389*.

Fresh from a refurbishment which will see her become a child-free ship complete with new restaurant offerings, Oriana’s cruises will include a 14-night itinerary taking in Iceland and Norway. The cruise departs Southampton on 18 August, 2012 and is priced from $3039*.

A highlight of the new program, which goes on sale from now, will be the first full season for the ‘exclusively for adults’ 710-passenger Adonia. Adonia will  sail on a mixture of Mediterranean cruises  between Trieste, Piraeus (Athens) and Salerno, with fares from $2589* for a 14-night cruise from Greece to Italy, departing November 30, 2012 and calling at ports in Israel, Egypt and Malta.

Azura’s 2012 season will have a strong focus on the Mediterranean including a 24-night maiden Black Sea cruise taking in Portugal, Malta, Greece, Ukraine, Romania, Turkey and Spain. The cruise departs Southampton on September 18, 2012 and is priced from $3809*.

Meanwhile Oceana will visit popular destinations in the Western Mediterranean and Fjords, perfect for family cruising. A seven-night ‘Norweigan Fjords’ cruise departing Southampton on May 6, 2012 starts from $1179*.

The cruise line has also announced plans for a grand event in 2012, with all seven ships meeting in Southampton on July 3, 2012 before departing on seven special cruises. The spectacle marks a celebration for P&O Cruises which can trace its heritage to 1837, the year the Peninsular Steam Navigation Company was formed. Not long afterwards the concept of cruising was born and since 1837, cruising has evolved into a popular holiday choice with P&O Cruises in the UK now carrying more British cruisers than any other line.

A 10 per cent early bookings saving and onboard credit bonuses are available on all bookings made by December 31, 2011.*Fares are cruise only, per person in a complete twin cabin and include all main meals and entertainment onboard. Subject to availability, conditions apply.
