For cruise vessels calling in Oslo there will in total be a decrease in costs in 2011. Especially for bigger vessels, like from ca 65 000 BRT, there will be ca 14 % reduction in pilot costs. For small vessels like approx 12 000 BRT, the reduction will be ca 5 %. This is due to new way of calculating the Norwegian national fees.
I addition to that the Port of Oslo have new general terms and conditions. The quay charge constitutes payment for use of the harbour and the Port of Oslo’s quays, and is equivalent to one 24-hour laytime period. Laytime is calculated from the time of berthing until the time of unberthing. Laytime perods of less than 24 hours will be charged the equivalent of one 24-hours period and thereafter for every 12 hour period commenced.

The peak season for cruise ships calls applies from May 1st to September 30th inclusive. Cruise ships calling during the peak season are entitled to a 30 % discount on the fifth and subsequent calls made by the same vessel during this period.
ISPS charge and cruise ship passenger fees The tariff, per person, per 24 hours for ISPS and pax fee in total is set to NOK 20,- which means approx EURO 2,50
