Norwegian name: Norsk Teknisk Museum
The Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology (Norsk Teknisk Museum) is the national museum for technology, industry, science and medicine. It was elected Norwegian Museum of the Year in 2011 and is one of the most visited museums in Norway.
A large variety of icons from Norwegian history is on display, from the first automobile to the first iPod.
The museum has over 20 permanent and temporary exhibitions about science, energy, oil, industry, medicine, airplanes, cars and trains. Main temporary exhibition in 2012 is the breathtaking brain exhibition “Mind Gap”, designed by Robert Wilson. In the new science exhibition one can learn about the Northern Light and how this was studied scientifically.
The Science Centre is a place for curious minds. Explore natural science and technological principles in the areas of energy, physical phenomena, the body, mathematics and the universe.
The medical exhibitions explain how people's lives have changed over the last 150 years through improvements in public health, medicine and healthcare.
The museum café serves Italian and Greek food, hot dogs, sandwiches, coffee, ice cream and cakes.
CLOSED: Mondays (winter), 1 January, 1 May, 17 May, 24-26 December, 31 December.

Bus No.54 towards Kjelsås station or Tram No.11/12 towards Kjelsås.
Train: Jaren or Hakadal to Kjelsås station.
